Inside
The door has a lever handle on the inside. The deadlocking latchbolt that is locked by the auxiliary latchbolt and the pre-locked deadbolt are retracted by activating the lever handle. The door can be opened.
Outside
The door has a fixed thumbturn on the outside. The deadlocking latchbolt and the deadbolt can be actuated using the thumbturn cylinder. The door is locked by the deadlocking latchbolt when it is closed. The door can only be opened with the aid of the thumbturn cylinder. The deadlocking latchbolt is retracted by means of the key action by operating the thumbturn cylinder. Actuation of the thumbturn cylinder also allows the door to be locked and unlocked.
