Living and working in a cosy unit

Work before pleasure? Anyone who doesn’t want to be tied to a fixed order will be happy with multifunctional furnishings. The Häfele experts show how living and working can be masterfully united.

Sofa and desk in one

The cabinet wall presents itself as a tidy ensemble when it closed, inviting you to relax on the cosy sofa. Just a few manual operations later, it has given way to a well-equipped workplace. A socket strip embedded in the desktop provides computer & co. with power.

Beautiful set-up with glass and light

Open shelves and display cabinets provide the platform for everything that is allowed to be in view. The collector’s item appears to float on the filigree glass shelves. Spotlights and strip lights put the objects in the right light and provide atmospheric emphasis. Items which are seldom used or not overly attractive such as suitcases and files find their place behind cabinet doors, swivelling flaps and in spacious drawers.

Concealed television

Once the day’s work is done, the desk disappears again and the sofa entices you to relax. If you are in a hurry, anything that is less than 40 centimetres in height can be left on the desk. The TV becomes a large cinema: a sliding movement reveals the television in the location where a work of art was decorating the wall. It moves to the right position thanks to a swivel arm. Now the work can be put to one side and relaxation can begin.
