The play area: where order and creativity meet

Anyone with small children knows: they have almost unlimited fantasy and creative urge. However, there are limits to the parents’ willingness to also give the creative chaos free rein outside the children’s room. But where do you find tidy play areas?

The Häfele experts for clever furnishing have come up with a play area which does not just give the dear little ones hours of enjoyment. Order is then effortlessly restored. In this way, the living room, the work room or the kitchen become shared favourite locations for young and old.

The play area is concealed in the cabinet wall

It may look like a normal drawer when you first glance at the cabinet wall, but it contains a large play table. With a few manual operations, the board is withdrawn and folded out into the playable position. The fitting for the pull-out table requires a cabinet depth of at least 60 centimetres. It can be used from a width of 90 centimetres. In this version the folded-out table top is 106 x 85 centimetres and weights up to 50 kilograms.

Stools used as toy boxes

Now all you need is somewhere to sit. The seats are also integrated in the cabinet wall and can be simply rolled out. The padded tops provide a comfortable seat. However, there is more to the seats than that: when they are opened they provide convenient access to the interior, which has plenty of room for the user’s treasures as a toy box.

When the latest adventure has been played to its conclusion, and numerous dream castles have been have been recreated true to detail by the child, the play area disappears back into the cabinet in an instant. Then the grown-ups’ dream of order becomes reality. Every member of the family therefore stays in a good mood.
