Dialock EFL 30: The battery-operated furniture lock from Häfele

Häfele has had its own house assortment of electronic access control systems in its portfolio under the Dialock brand for many years, in order to make a large number of applications possible. Dialock does not only include smart door locks, but also visually discreet furniture locks which are particularly effective in store fixtures. For example, they can be used to quickly and easily unlock display cabinets. The latest development in the Dialock product range is the battery-operated electronic furniture lock EFL 30. It is ideal for mobile furniture items with which the central areas of shops, for example, can be variably designed. The EFL 30 is complementary to the mains-operated Dialock furniture locks which demonstrate their strengths at fixed locking points.

 

Häfele has modified the flat and compact housing of the well-tried, cable-bound furniture lock for the new EFL 30 battery-operated furniture lock and adjusted the length. This means that it can be installed extremely discreetly in many furniture items, and securely locks hinged doors, flaps, sliding doors, drawers and tambour doors. 

The quickly and easily installed lock is not only suitable for shopfitting, but also for mobile furniture at temporary exhibitions and trade fairs or in offices. Other usage options include lockers in the hotel industry, in student halls of residence or in lockable furniture items in hospitals. Wherever individual locking points need to be secured indoors and where no current-carrying cables are to be or can be installed. The EFL 30 is also very easy to retrofit.

Locks which do their job in store fixtures, among other things, are one of Häfele's specialities. For example, display cabinets are quickly and easily locked and unlocked using the EFL 30 battery-operated, electronic furniture lock. EFL 30 is one of the latest developments from Häfele in the Dialock product range. 

Long-lasting locking solution with "German Quality"

The EFL 30 furniture lock, which is developed in Germany like all Dialock solutions, is supplied with energy via two commercially available AAA batteries. About 20,000 locking and unlocking processes are possible with these. For example, if a drawer is opened and locked again twice every day, the battery power is sufficient for more than 12 years of operation. If the battery voltage is too low, the EFL 30 issues an alarm signal in good time. The battery-operated furniture lock with the self-adjusting locking component can be used as a latchbolt lock with an adjustable opening time or as deadbolt lock (permanently open or closed).

Häfele's new development can be configured in stand-alone mode, as an easy-to-install island solution or incorporated into comprehensive security systems. The future-proof Bluetooth Low Energy radio technology (BLE) is integrated into the furniture lock, which can be programmed using mobile devices such as Smartphones.

With large and complex projects, EFL 30 is integrated into the Dialock software in conjunction with door terminals and wall terminals. In this way, door and furniture locks can also be operated within the Dialock modular system. All this in a single system and thanks to the standardised and secure transponder technology. System administration is simply and clearly organised via the Häfele My Dialock Manager app. This makes the everyday working day of the operators of shops and other properties easier, and provides them with state-of-the-art security technology.
