Compliance at Häfele

Compliance is all about adhering to statutory and internal company regulations.

Häfele is recognised as a down-to-earth, reliable and fair partner. We appreciate the trust that our business partners, employees and the wider public place in us. Our journey as a family business spanning more than 100 years has taught us that sustainable economic success can only be achieved through compliant and honest conduct.

How do we ensure compliance at Häfele?

Code of Conduct

We have formalised our ethical standards in our Code of Conduct. It helps us to act responsibly and in compliance with the law in every situation.

Our Code of Conduct is available in German and English.

Supply Chain Due Diligence Act – protection against risks related to human rights and the environment

Our trust-based and successful collaboration with our business partners is underpinned by compliance and fairness. As an obligated party under the German Supply Chain Duty of Care Act (LkSG), we ensure that the statutory requirements and ethical standards in our supply chain are adhered to.

Our Code of Conduct for suppliers is available in German and English. Further information on our complaints procedure is available in German and English.

Reports of risks relating to human rights or the environment or breaches of duty can be passed on to our reporting office (see “Contact options” below).

Whistleblower system

Like any other company, we are not immune to illegal or unethical behaviour. To identify risks at an early stage and address misconduct, we have set up a whistleblower system that is accessible to everyone and is used to make reports of unlawful incidents. All information and the identity of the whistleblower are treated as strictly confidential. Reports can be made – also anonymously – in electronic or written form, by telephone or in person at our reporting office (see “Contact options” below).

General information on the Whistleblower Protection Act and on the federal government’s external reporting centre can be found on the homepage of the German Federal Office of Justice.

Contact options

We have established a reporting office for making reports relating to the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and the Whistleblower Protection Act. If you wish to provide information anonymously, please specify a preferred communication channel.
