Determine required size (W1 to W4) and length of connector for connection.
Mill dovetail groove into both workpieces.
Press-fit connectors into the two milled grooves, using the rounded connector side as a positioning aid. The workpieces are exactly horizontally and vertically aligned and fixed when this takes place. The serrated inner surfaces of the connector dig axially into the workpiece, providing additional grip.
