U-Power is used instead of spiral springs: the patented U-shaped spring technology makes the flap fitting ultra-flat and creates more storage space. Häfele Free Slim can be screwed on from the inside or recessed into cabinets from the outside. The new product also simplifies planning and installation for craftmanship and industry.

Eight millimetres that make all the difference
Extremely slim, intelligently designed and maximum performance: This is what Häfele Free Slim stands for with the completely redesigned U-Power lift mechanism. This reduces the body width to a compact 8 mm because ultra-slim U-springs are used instead of conventional spiral springs. They are characterised by exceptionally high performance across all common front weight classes. The patented innovation from the Häfele Flap Competence Centre in Budapest combines innovative technology with a high level of practical suitability.
The new flap fittings deliver considerable efficiency gains along the entire production chain, especially for industrial furniture production: processes for different models can be significantly reduced or completely eliminated. Inventory management and logistics are also significantly optimised thanks to the flatness of the lift mechanisms.
The invisible flap fitting
The slim design of Häfele Free Slim increases storage space. It also opens up unimagined design possibilities: Häfele Free Slim can be screwed on from the inside as usual or – new – recessed from the outside into the side panel of the cabinet. This makes the Free Slim flap fittings literally invisible.
However, design is nothing without maximum functionality. For convenient operation, Free Slim integrates an opening angle adjustment with infinitely adjustable multi-position stop and excellent running properties.
Fewer variants, more design flexibility
Less is more: with Häfele Free Slim, Häfele embraces a minimalist approach. This also extends to the range of variants. Just three product variants cover the entire application range of flap fittings. All variants are also available with the convenient E-Drive automatic opening function.

Minimal effort for planning and installation
Increasing design flexibility while simplifying the planning and assembly of furniture – Häfele engineers have met this challenging objective.
There are two options for integration into the cabinet:
- Mounting option 1: Simply screwed on from the inside to save space.
- Mounting option 2: Simply recessed in from the outside, not visible when the wall cabinets are positioned next to each other.
